Not an animal lover but this is heart-rending.
The fact that we as humans cannot communicate with other animals like we do oureselves does not mean they are unintelligent and should be treated without care or respect. Animals are intelligent in their own way.
Decided it was a good idea to dig into my blog to appreciate posts from the past and retrieve a few posts that I felt were worthy of being reposted. Boy, was I surprised at the amount of pictures and writing I did back then. I don’t know why I always thought that I didn’t post enough, but the amount of my post and reblogs were fairly equal. I laughed a lot while reading some of my photo captions and random texts. Some I felt were so embarrassing but I refrained from deleting them for reminiscing sake. I was also delighted at my way of thinking back then. The quotes I posted and reblogged were so sweet! Bless my heart.
Sometimes we want something so bad we practically write a script on how it should go, even if we know better. There’s no such thing as the perfect family or the perfect turkey or the prefect gravy. There are always lumps. But why do lumps have to be bad? Maybe, instead of trying so hard to create the ideal holiday we should embrace the “not so perfect” because sometimes it is the imperfections that make the holiday memories you really cherish.(via adoraaa)
